I would like to replace existing custom field root cause analysis as a text field with Select List (multiple choices) option. How can I make sure that the data will not going to be deleted after changing.
Hi @malika.raupova - You won't be able to change the field type after the field is created. You'll need to create a new field. To preserve the old data, you could take these steps:
Rename the old field to ensure no confusion
Remove it from all Create/Edit screens so that the legacy data is still accessible, but not editable
