Is there a reason why a custom field would not appear in any Field Configurations?
I thought that a Field Configuration contained ALL fields (system and custom), but whether I'm editing an existing Field Configuration or creating a new one there are a set of custom fields in our Jira instance that are never available.
These fields were all created at different time, are different types (radio buttons, select lists, single line text, label, etc.) and I can't figure out why they wouldn't be available in a Field Configuration.
I need to make one of these fields required for a specific Jira project, but can't because it's not available in any Field Configurations for me to toggle that selection.
Hello @Andrew Frayling this is very strange.
Have you re-indexed Jira lately? Otherwise I would submit a support request with Atlassian directly.
Hi @Dave Mathijs , we've probably not re-indexed in a while, I'll give that a try.
Glad I'm not crazy expecting field to be available in the Field Configuration :-)

Full re-index and fixing Integrity Checker issues still did not resolve this for us. Will see if Atlassian Support can help.

Hi @Andrew Frayling did you ever figure out how to fix the issue of all the fields not showing on the field configuration screen? Ours are cut-off somewhere in the mid-R's; everything mid-R, S, T, U, etc. are all missing from the bottom. cc: @Dave Mathijs

Hi Stewart, Emily @ Global D&T , I think a restart fixed this for us.
