×Hi there, total noob here. First time in JIRA setting up a project.
I created a bunch of new custom fields for my project, but when I go to create new Bug/Enhancement/New Feature issues, the custom fields are not in the default issue screen.
Am I just not associating the custom fields correctly with the default issue view or something?
you need to add the custom fields to the Create screen. Go into your project > project settings > screens. Find the screen used for Create, edit and add your fields at the bottom and feel free to rearrange them.
Hi Jack,
I have done the following things:
Created a default Issue screen scheme with all the fields I would like in it, the SW Development Default Issue Screen.
The default issue screen scheme has 3 issue types associated with it, Bug/Improvement/New Feature.
The default issue screen scheme also has an Operation and Screen associated together:
1- Create Issue is associated to the Default Issue screen
2- Edit Issue is associated to the Default Issue screen
3- View Issue is associated to the Default Issue screen.
What I want to happen is when I create a new issue, all the fields I added to the default issue screen get populated into the new issue creation.
What is happening is that none of the wanted fields are showing up period, but I can go to the Admin pull down in the newly opened issue and add the wanted fields manually.
Not sure where to go after all this. And thanks for your help again.
Cheers,
Chris

It sounds like you never configured which screens the fields should be on, have a look at Choosing screens
