Custom password field

We are using external scripts to execute a deploy, triggered from JIra. Since our external deploy tool uses a different base for autenticication, we need to pass the password for the user trigging the deploy. Hence, When user "Bob" request a deploy when creating a deploy issue type, he should also input his deploy-tool-password in a field. This field should echo *** and not his password to screen, but be able to use real value in script.

Any suggestions how to solve this?

I don't know about such custom field but you may try using JIRA Behaviours plugin to set up a Hidden Field.
