I have tried creating customized workflows, didn't work out well and the help documentation is not easy since i am new to JIRA.
I am trying to create a work flow with status
Can you tell me step by step how to do it.
I guess your statuses would look like:
It is a cascade workflow so you'll be needing transitions from one status to the following only and back. At least to start with.
If information needs to be gathered between Statuses you'll need to have fields on Screens matched to those specific transitions as described on Configuring Fields and Screens.
It is not a simple process to list some easy step by step configuration.
I would suggest first familiarise with the concepts by reading: Configuring Workflow and Advanced workflow configuration.

Then copy the JIRA default workflow and default Workflow Scheme and associate it to a Test Project to start customising it on those 7 steps.
