DVCS not showing development panel for historical commits

Hi, we've recently configured the DVCS connector at our GitHub Enterprise repos , but are seeing an issue where the Development Panel only appears on tickets that have commits that were made AFTER the integration was configured. The Development Panel is not showing on any historical tickets even though they have commits that correctly reference the relevant Jira key.

Should the DVCS connector show historical commits? I was expecting it to index the repos looking for Jira keys in historical commit messages, but it doesn't seem to do that, it's only picking up new commits.

One additional note - our GitHub environment is a migration from Subversion so there aren't any native Git commits in it yet, just conversions from Subversion commits. Not sure if that's what's causing the issue with historical commits?
