I am fairly new to Jira and trying to build a dashboard and a pie chart where the team can see (from the work in the current sprint) what is assigned to them. For some reason the search filter I have built and saved (working) and added to the config, it always refers to the issues on the whole project which is not much help at all?
Hi @Mark Nesbit , welcome to the community.
Please provide your filter so that I can inspect it. Also, a screen capture of the gadget where you use. The filter in the configuration view would be helpful. Basically, if you don't wanna see the entire project, then your filter needs to be defined such that that is not the case.
It is likely that you simply need to add " ... and sprint in opensprints()" to your filter if your goal is to only see the issues in the active sprint.

Thanks Jack, I managed to get it to work. it was a case of refreshing the tab so that the filter came through.
