Dasnboard: setting the priority between projects.

Hi,

I created my own dashboard in order to quickly estimate my working goals.

It will be useful to see on this board the priority hierarchy of my projects, but the gadget "Projects" only help me to create list of projects without possibility to change  the position in this list.

Maybe somebody knows how to create the priority of projects?

Best regards,

Vera Bakshaeva

I guess you could consider using the Project Category for this if you are not using Category already. You could enter a number so that you would end up with a stack-ranked list or you could use High, Medium - Low. Then you could use the Projects page and click on the Category heading to sort. Obviously HML would end up HLM so you would want to pick your naming accordingly, e.g. 1-high, 2-medium...

not a glamours solution and if you use Category for any other issue it breaks.

Jira projects cannot be prioritised, only issues created within them can have a priority.

You should consider a Jira Project to be based around a team, rather than a specific piece of work.  Then all work they do would be created as Epics/Stories within that project, and can then be prioritised.  If you need additional levels in the hierarchy, for example to group a number of Epics under a single Jira issue, then take a look at Portfolio for Jira, which lets you define a larger hierarchy of issues, and also allows you to create a Portfolio consisting of a number of Jira projects.
