So I have followed the online instructions on how to change the date and time format from the American system to the German one (1st screenshot with the settings). If I want to set the date and time in an issue in JIRA, the date and time format is still the American format with Sunday being the first day and the full date format being yy.MM.dd (2nd screenshot).
My browser's language is also set to German. I have noticed that the date and time is in English, not in German.
How can I solve this problem?
Edit: We're using next gen projects.
Issue has been confirmed as a bug by support. According to support: "it happens only on the new issue view. If you disable the new view (Profile picture > Personal settings > Jira Labs) and open the tickets through the Issues and filters > Search issues, you will see the date correctly."
FYI - This doesn't fix the current issue with the date formats being MM/dd/yyyy

I have just checked to be sure: the issue is fixed for us in our Jira Instance. The date shows up correctly as dd.MM.yyyy, so the date settings in the admin panel are now having the expected effect.
