Date field default to todays adate

Hi all,

we have a date field on a screen that appears between transitions. I have set this to 'Use the current date as the default' but whenever we open the screen even for the first time the date could be blank, it could be the day the ticket was created, but it never defaults to todays dates!

Any ideas?!

Hello Toby,

Sorry but making a default date time in this custom field in Jira makes it to be filled the moment the issue is created.

In issues which already have this custom field, or it is filled with another time it won't be changed. 

This option only works for whe you create new issues.
