Default Resolution causes issues to be committed with Resolution Date

Script runner 6.4.0 is not fixing the issue with the Resolution date in Jira 8.5.4. Any idea how it can be fixed?

What issue with resolution date?

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

There is bug https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-2016?error=login_required&error_description=Login+required&state=a1641a67-012f-4ec8-afda-b4a28b726885 which is fixed in 8.5.8, unfortunately we are now using 8.5.4 which needs a workaround to fix it using Workaround 1: no default resolution.

We upgraded from 8.5.0 to 8.5.4 and observed the workaround stopped working,

why clearing the resolution field, no longer clears the Resolution Date.
