Default sub-task type when there are multiple available

I have two issue types each with their own sub-task type. When creating Issue type 2 subtasks will always default to sub-task type 1.

Is there a way to make it default to its parent type? Or create it as a parent as technically it isn't related in any way we just use it as if it is.

For user experience Issue and Sub-task type 1 is Blue, Issue and Sub-task type 2 is green.

Hi @jonathank

I don't think this is possible out of the box.

However, there is a plugin called issue matrix which allows you to create subsections for subtasks. In your scenario you will have a subsection for subtasks 2 only available for task 2. You would not allow users to create subtasks type 1.
