Users created via email are having their usernames set as their full email address. Is there a way for it to be only the first half, so just myusername rather than myusername@myemail.com ?

This is the out of the box create ticket via emails, we aren't using JEMH, but if that resolves this wouldn't be opposed to starting (likely install it once we upgrade, currently on Jira 4.0.1).

Thanks!

Thee way JIRA extracts the user from the email, it first tries to use the personal name, then the email address, so if you send the email from "myusername <myusername@myemail.com>" then JIRA will use the myusername father than the email address.

Thanks James, it appears that for whatever reason mail isn't being sent in that format, there is no way currently to tell JIRA specifically to use everything up to the @ in the email as a fallback in the absence on an identified 'father' ?
