Delete Issue From Backlog

I have just started using Jira and at first glance it seemed okay but I am finding a lot of issues. My main one is deleting Items from the backlog. I just get an error page and I am the admin.

Any ideas?

I am facing the same issue. I am using trial version. I am the Admin . I created a trial story and now I want to delete it , but I do not have the permission?

I checked the 'Permission settings' but do not know how to delete it.

The fix was to amend the permissions to allow the user to delete issues in that project (generally a bad idea, as people often delete stuff they don't want to, and it's a nightmare to fix their mistakes)
