Hi,
Is there a way to restore deleted Jira ticket? Please walk me through how to recover them.
Thank you.
I don't believe you can restore one ticket from a backup. However if you have a backup you can restore it to a different JIRA instance and then export the issue to a csv and use that to import the the data into the production JIRA.
This is why many of us 'old timers' say do not delete issues. It WILL come back to bite you, as you've experienced. I use a special transition only available to the project admin that REQUIRES a reason for deleting from a select list and uses a post function to set the resolution to DELETED
See importing from csv: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracoreserver073/creating-issues-using-the-csv-importer-861257331.html
The only way to restore a ticket is to use a backup. But you can do it only if you backup your Jira instance. If you do not have backups, then you can not recover the deleted ticket.

Unless you have a previous backup there is no way to restore a deleted ticket.
if you have a backup you can restore that data in a separate instance and export / import the ticket into your instance.
hope this helps

Thank you, tried to import the ticket on the new instance however got an error connection timeout. What should be the issue here? What should be the settings in importing the database?
