When you delete a user or a customer user from Jira, is it possible that their names/usernames in our tickets remain anonymous instead of their names still being in the ticket?

I don't think it is going to clear the field or make it anonymous because it keeps it for historical information.
When we delete someone or make them inactive (we never actually delete anyone), we run a query to see what active cards have the user for the reporter or assignee and then replace them with a valid user.
