Deleting issues in the new Jira technology strack

Hi Everyone,

I'm using the new Jira technology stack (roadmap feature).  I've noticed its not letting me delete issues from my backlog and I'm guessing this is deliberate by Atlassian?  This seems crazy.  I know there's a purist argument, but at the same time our team use the backlog to plan and sometimes we decide to remove some of the tickets during this process.  

Can someone confirm if anyone else has had problems deleting tickets?

If new Jira technology stack = next gen projects

I can delete them like this:

Edit: you might need to check your permissions as well

Okay great that's reassuring to know.  There must be a permission issue that's not showing me the delete option.  Works on other projects that are still on the old tech stack.
