Dependencies between Board and Portfolio

When we change order of the Epics in Kanban board, the order of the Episc in Portfolio is also changed. As we don't want changes in the Kanban board to affect our Portfolio we would like to have this dependency removed.

Is it possible?

I'm quite sure this is related to ranking, which is global across all issues; how it functions cannot be modified.

If you reorder issues in one a Board - this will modify the ranking across all of Jira - including other Boards and Advanced Roadmap Plans. These are all just filtered views of the issues.
