Does your user have the right to see the issue?

  • Check the permission scheme gives them "browse issue" in the project
  • Check they are included in the default security level in the "issue security scheme" (note that this is often blank, which means only the permission scheme matters)

If you are creating the issue from a board, also check

  • The issue is included by the board filter (e.g. if your filter excludes the first status in the workflow, a new issue will not appear on the board)
  • The issue is not excluded by any currently active quick-filters
  • The first status in the workflow is mapped into a column on the board

Depends on board settings

make sure that issue status is correctly mapped with column if the issue is in active sprint or else it can be seen in backlog view
