Desperate for solution - Collector Field Names Mismatch with Edit Issue Screen ~ Please

Hi There, 

I looked around but didn't find anything in the knowledge base for this. 

I'm really interested in finding a solution/workaround to the Issue Collector Field Names Mismatch with Edit Issue Screen.  My usecase: 

1. user enters issue

2. product owner uses the edit issue screen to review the issue and add some admin info

How do I do this without exposing fields irrelevant to users or confusing product owners by giving them bogus fields?
