Different creating and starting task date

I like to use different creating and starting task date for project planning.

Is it possible with Jira?

You can add a new custom field called Start Date and add it to the screens in the required project.

I know it, but I think there is an other way.

if I use custom field I won't use it with Jira standard report and WBS Gantt-Chart.
