Disable Markup in Jira Comment or Description

I ask this question about once a year.

 

I want to be able to write a block of code, or even just a salesforce field name containing underscores, in Jira, and have it display on the screen as intended.  Without strikethrough, underline, or bold. 

Is it possible yet to disable markup in a comment or description?  { } does not work.
