Hello,
Is it possible to remove the "Projects" and "Issues" menu (on top of the screen beside "Dashboards") for specific users?
Some of our JIRA users should only have access to the "Dashboards" menu.
Below is an example screenshot for better understanding, which button I mean:
Thanks,
Michael
You could try hacking the bars to remove the options, but there's not a lot of point, the functions they expose are still accessible from other routes, including links off the dashboards.
I'm curious - what exactly are you trying to hide? (Ugh, sorry, that came out wrong - I really do mean to ask what you're trying to hide from specific users and why they don't need to see it)
Thanks for your feedback, Nic!
We have some users who have only access to one project and they want to see only their created issues in this project.
To make the JIRA UI as simple as possible for them it would be enough to have a dashboard containing the filter gadgets to see their created issues and all issues which are assigned to them (in case that more information are needed).
For this reason there is no need to see project information or searching for issues.

It's a doddle to get from a dashboard to a search or project, they're linked to all over the place. You could do something in the code to remove the options, but it's a lot of effort for little reward in my opinion. If you've got your permissions correct, the project screens and search wouldn't leak any irrelevant information anyway.
