Disable smart search as a user

Smart search is not smart, it is annoying and always applies filters when I don't want it to apply filters. Is there a way to getting rid of it as a user?

An example is if I search for something and it finds the system name in the string, it filters by that system name. I don't ever need this and yet it always does it. I would rather not eve ruse this annoying smart search

Currently there isn't a way you can do this.  This is the feature request for that
