Disable subscription emails

How do i disable annoying daily subscription emails going to users? When i look at filters there is no subscription assinged to the filters. What else should i look for? We are using version4.4

The users set up their own subscriptions, so get the users to unset them. (Admins can change subscriptions in later versions of Jira, but I can't remember which version it came in)

However, you say there are no subscriptions when you look at the filters - that implies you're looking at the wrong filters if subscriptions are still going out.
