We have a system that sends an email to customers and also blind copies our customer service mailbox. Our customer service mailbox is associated with a Jira service using the Create or Comment Handler. The from address on the email is the same mailbox. If someone responds to the email, it is placed as a comment in the original ticket which we love. However, these customers are not users in our Jira directory so it shows the comment being written by the general user defined in the service parameters.
When our customers email customer service, the ticket that is created puts at the bottom of the ticket [Created via e-mail received from: John Doe <John.Doe@blahblahblah.com>]. Is there any way that the same thing can be put at the bottom of comments?
Hi Ryan,
The only way to achieve that would be by resorting to customization in JIRA.
You may want to check this documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Customising+Email+Content
