My point is about logging time. Often is does occur that more than one user is working on a task. If in the sprint meeting it is said it takes a week, do one task - do the sub-task time entries than combine to get the real picture as in how much time is spent against the planned time for the whole task ?
You might find this article useful - estimate-an-issue . How estimation and time logging work depend on configuration but also how you use it. What I tend to due is to keep remaining time enabled and I focus on Estimation at the task level leaving sub-tasks un-estimated but I do my Time logging at the sub-task level. Example:
Task 1: OE = 1d
this means that my task took 8h which happens to equate nicely to my 8h day so I hit my estimation on the money for this issue.
