Our R&D teams need to connect their development and stage environments to a stage (or sandbox) environment for testing processes for our internal tooling. We have several processes that utilize the Jira API and they need to test before implementing in production.
Based on feedback on this Q&A, after a sandbox refresh users have to be invited again in order to gain access. Does this mean they also have to recreate API tokens every time a refresh occurs?
Note: Most our API processes are build using service accounts and not user accounts, which adds an extra layer of complexity in generating tokens.
Hi Erica,
As API Token are generated outside the sandbox, and the actual Sandbox environment does not change in a refresh only the data, it will not affect it.
Cheers,
Nico.
