Do I need an active license when moving JIRA software to another server?

Need to separate out our JIRA and source control system. hence planning to move JIRA to another server. however, my license is expired in April. Do I need my license renewed first?

For relocation, there is no need to renew your license. You can take the backup of Server A. Install Jira in Server B with the same version and restore the backup to Server B. You would need to make sure to reapply in Server B if there is customization on your JIRA.
