×I am trying to figure out a way to open issues in multiple projects using the default mail server. I can send mail to jira@xxx.atlassian.net and that works fine but only if I have one project/mail handler. I can use catch addresses but the project owner didn't want to use the CC/BCC field when sending emails. Unique addresses for each project would work as well but if that exists I'm not finding it anywhere.
I guess my question is, what's the best practice for using email to open issues in multiple projects using the default mail server?
Additionally does anyone know if there is a roadmap/plan for better integration with O365 to simplify setting up mail handlers using addresses in our domain?
Kenny,
The only option I can think for this would be to map the email address to a special issue type and then use Automation for Jira to create copies of the ticket in multiple projects.
Please keep in mind that if you are using the standard plan, there is a limit to the # of global executions you have on a monthly basis. I believe it is 500/app/month. So if you only have Jira Core, you would get 500 executions in a month before they run out.
