Dear Experts and Jira Enthusiasts,
In Jira cloud is there a way to find out all the open sprints across multiple projects ? I gather we can find the open sprints through a JQL query but can we have a view where all the open sprints are visible and the scrum master with adequate rights can close the ones which are past their scheduled closure date ?
Your sprints are a feature of the board they belong to. And the normal way of closing them, would be from that originating board.
There is a helpful JQL function that can help you find all issues in active sprints across Jira:
Sprint in OpenSprints()
This will return all issues across all active sprints across your entire Jira instance (as long as you have browse permission to all those issues). Using a dashboard gadget (a pie chart or a two dimensional issue statistics gadget eg) you can then visualise a unique list of all sprints:
That should help retrieving them and help you clean up.
Hope this helps!
Hi @Walter Buggenhout , Thanks a lot for taking out time and responding to the question. What you are talking about above is correct. This is the only OOB way to filter out the open sprints. Are there any marketplace plugins which could help here in refining the view as intended ?

Hi @Walter Buggenhout I created the attached gadget on the dashboard. Gives a view of Open Sprints along with the associated projects.
