Do we need to change the remianing time to 0 in effort burning?

Do we need to change the remaining time to 0 if we finished the task before the estimated time in effort burning? Why the remaining timeline is always above the guideline value in effort burning chart

when you complete an issue and move to Done the remaining time should be set to 0. you can either remember to do this manually or you can use a post function in the workflow to set it to zero.

Thank you for your answer. Could you please let me know how we use a post function?

You need to have admin permissions and the go to project settings > workflows, find and edit all workflows where you want to use the post function. On all transitions to Done you will want to add a post function to set “field value” then choose the Remaining Time field and the value of “0”.
