Hi @Laura Ramirez

There are several options you may check out if you'd like to know when a story has changed its status.

1. Look for issue history as it was suggested before. You will find it in the Activity section while opening each issue you're interested in.

2. Look for solutions from the Marketplace. You might consider the following:

  • Issue History add-on if you'd like to see changes for a list of issues. It includes changes in status or any other.2021-10-25_23-09-52.png
  • Status Entrance Date report of Time in Status for Jira Cloud app. It shows when exactly each story has entered particular status.Status entrance report.jpgBoth of the add-ons were developed by my team. Let me know if you have questions.

Kind regards

Welcome to the Community!

No, there's no dictionary, because you do not have any access to the database, so you don't need one.

Could you expand on what "Jira metrics" you are trying to "get"?  We may be able to give you a proper route for finding what you need.

Hello, we need the field that identifies when a story changed it's status, specifically when it is changed to Done. We are trying to get the Velocity for team and users

There isn't a field for that, but it is logged in the issue history of course.  You'll need to read the issue for its history and go through it looking for the line that says "Status changed from/to"

Hi @Laura Ramirez

It isn't tracking by status, but when issues change the category of the status, that value is set as the statusCategoryChangedDate and this would include changes from/to the status categories:

  • To Do
  • In Progress
  • Done

For example if you checked that date/time field for done issues it would provide what you ask if you only have one status with a status category of Done.  If you have multiple such status values for the project, this will not work as you ask.

project = myProject AND statusCategory = Done

Kind regards,
Bill
