Dockerising an Oracle DB for jira server

Hi,

we are planning to create a new stack for our jira server by docker and we want to know if there are some recommandations for moving our Oracle DB to a container and if we will face some problems during this phase.

Hi Wajih,

great questions - although they are a bit general and the Oracle database might not have that huge audience that other databases have, nowadays.

Docker also is very popular meanwhile and basically it should not be something you can't do - I also found an article online about your requirement:

In case you started your project and find trouble with something specific I believe somebody from Community will be more likely to respond.

One consideration that additionally could be made is to use a more recent version of Jira. v7.13 is end of line soon.
