Does 7.8.2 ver. of Jira support SSO with IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) Federation?

Udit Gupta November 12, 2018

My team is trying to set up a SSO using ISAM with Jira. I am using 7.8.2 version of Jira. Please let me know if this integration is possible with my version of Jira.

Hi Udit,

are you talking about Jira Server or Data-Center.

ISAM supports SAML as a protocol, so integrating Jira via SAML is probably a sensible option. For Server you definitely need a 3rd Party Add On for this, for Data-Center it depends. The DC SAML may be enough but more likely especially if you would like to create/update Users via SAML you'd need a 3rd Party Plugin as well.

If that is the environment you find yourself in, then feel free to have a look at the Plugin that we develop: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212130/saml-single-sign-on-sso-jira-saml-sso?hosting=server&tab=overview

If not then please share a bit more about your environment, so that we can help you fruther.

Cheers,
   Christian
