We have new license keys for JIRA, Bamboo, etc. I can update the key information easily, but wondered how the license keys were validated if our JIRA/Atlassian instance is not connected to the internet. If so, is there another method to get the keys aside from editing the license key in the License Key details screen?
After applying new license key, you can see the period for which the license is valid, on the same page. If it is shows up the correct period as per your purchase, everything is fine. :)
If license is not validated, JIRA shows it up by throwing an error message right away.
You do not need to be connected to the internet. Jira can validate the license key itself.
Just update the key on the license screen and Jira will check that and show you if it is valid.

Hello,
If you have the license keys, you can easily update without internet access of Jira.
Just go to Manage add-ons, click on app and paste your license.
