Does Teams/Jira only work for folks who have Jira access?

We have folks who updates on Jira issues but do not have Jira access but are in Teams. Does this integration allow for the folks with out jira access to see Jira issues in Teams? Or does this only work for folks who have Jira access?

In order to use Jira you have to have access to it.

So the integration with Teams is solely for Jira users even though its in teams?

Correct. The exception is if you are using Jira Service Management, in that case any user can submit service requests from Teams, because in JSM it is only the agents that needs a license.
