Does XRay "Test Plans List" only show status for TPs with associated Planned Test Execution?

Hello,

I am exploring the XRay "Test Plans List" report but I am only able of see Test Plans (TPs) progress status when they tied to a planned Test Execution. (see the screenshot below taken from the Xray Test Management - Product Walkthrough for Cloud | Webinar as a sample):

HOWEVER, if I run the test executions at the test level, even when the tests are collected in a Test Plan, the status of the TPs in the report is shown as "TO DO" (the status remains the same).

Can you please confirm whether I need to always use planned Test Executions in order to see this report with accurate data?
