One of the user of our Jira Data center instance, wants to populate the values from Epic to the Story/Tasks associated with the Epic.
Project automation rules are applied and it works well for the issues created in backlog.
But it's not applying to issues created under User Story map.
Could someone help us with this query? Will project automation rules not apply to User Story map?
Hi @Manjupriya ,
I've had the issue before with User Story Map : it's because the way the addon creates issues or makes transitions is different from the way Jira handles it.
This means that you need to make a separate rule to handle this. What I did is create a rule with the "Issue Updated" trigger instead of the "Issue Created", it works fine as well.
Let me know if this helps,

Hi @Alexis Robert ,
Using "Issue Updated" trigger worked for me. So I have created another rule for updating values in User Story Map.
Thanks much for your help.
