Don't see "boards" in the left navigation bar

this is the screenshot of my left navigation bar in this specific project. I cannot see anywhere the option of creating a kanban board for this project. 

In another project I am able to see a kanban board. 

Why is this and kindly tell me how to create a kanban board in for the first project.

when you click on the board dropdown it doesn't show you this menu to create a board?

Hello, what was the trick? 
She asked how to show the menu item and you replied by question. And she reacted "I found it". 
What did she find?
I did not find any permisssion "to create boards" and I do not see my board in left menu and do not se the +Create board item either.

Try clicking the "board" option in the menu, it should give you "create board" as one of the options.
