E-mail log, Failure Notifications

While looking into an issue I noticed on our Mail Logs projects were not receiving e-mails due to some recent configuration issues. We fixed the problem but that still left plenty of e-mails not being seen by Jira which is a huge problem. 

Is there a way to get notifications every time an e-mail fails to be read into the system? we need to catch these and make sure they are being dealt with and with an ever growing agent list to our Jira instance we can't keep an eye on the logs all day long

Hi Ryan,

Currently, there is no setting to make Jira send notification about failures for Jira Service Desk mail handler. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
