Edit button is gone and all editable fields are locked for all issues in one particular project

Hi Im new to administer projects in Jira so hopefully this is a simple task but I cannot find the solution in the community.

After the weekend the edit issue function (and button) disappeared in a project. Im locked out from all edit issue functions.

I made another project with the same settings workflows, screens etc. And all the issues are editable in that project. There is no issue security added.

Is there something preventing the specific project to edit its issues in some way? It does not matter If Im admin or different users. Thanks.

Solved. Someone higher in the hierarchy changed the permissions for project members. I just just changed them back.
