Hi, is it possible to give extended permissions to a user (project lead and project admin) so he can change the edit a workflow on his project without being site-admin?

Hi @PaulaA,

If the user has the project administration permission and workflow is not shared then they will be able to edit the workflow. However, if the workflow is shared with another project they will not able to edit it as only Jira Admins would only be able to edit them.

Hope this helps

Hi @[deleted],

thanks for the hint but it is not shared with any other project. Any other ideas?

Hi @PaulaA,

Could you take a screenshot of the user in the project settings and what they see when they try to access the project's workflows?

Thanks

Hi @PaulaA,

Better safe than sorry; is the project administration permission mapped to the Administrator group?

I assume yes but you never know :) .

Hi @[deleted],

yes it is.

After a lot of research I'm assuming that it is not possible to do it in Jira Cloud. Based on the following links (edit a workflow is not mentioned as it is mentioned for Jira sever)

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/managing-global-permissions-776636359.html

https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/functional-differences-in-atlassian-cloud-744721664.html

Thanks
