Editing user story causes it to be displayed with strike-through

User stories are displayed in the backlog on a Scrum board. After editing a user story to make one change (adding a mandatory custom field) the user story identifier is shown with a strike-through (as though it was done). Viewing the issue in Jira shows that status and resolution are still open. Screenshots attached.

Phil, it seems the screenshot is not attached here. Anyway, could you provide the screenshot of the Task board mapping (Agile > Configuration > Task Board Mapping) as well?
