Email Templates - data not shown in emails after upgrade

Hi Experts

I recently upgraded JIRA Software from 8.8.1 to 8.18.1. I was checking on email functionality and found that no data is coming in emails when we update jira issues - field names are showing for worklog change but no data - then I realized that Email Templates directory is being changed from /opt/Atlassian/jira/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/  to <Jira-shared-home>/data/templates

Has anyone else gone through this issue - is there any other config related setting I need to check? Please help
