Our instance is in need of aid of notification help. Basically, we need to ensure customers receive notifications from public facing comments, which seems to be working now, after struggling with it for a bit of time.
However, we noticed that every update is generating a notification, and this has become an annoyance to some. I am afraid to change notification settings without certainty of how they will change the overall scheme - we service hundreds of people on a daily basis.
Essentially, we would like users to know:
If someone could help me go over my instance and help me optimize and better understand these settings, that would be extremely helpful. It is important to note a lot of what we handle is email requests, and we do a lot of ADDING the reporter. I don't know if this makes a difference.
If you are a JIRA admin, create a notification scheme and apply it to the project(s). Lots of options for recipients and events.
If you a project admin then go into container settings/ notifications. Options are similar to above but limited to the project.
