Emails will not be sent when I create a restricted comment.

Comments were written through Restricted Comments so that only specific groups can see the comments, but a notification email is not sent to the group members.

Email notifications work well if you are writing a general comment.

How can I do?

Hello @Jeoung

Sorry to see you are facing a problem.

When you talk about a "restricted comment", are you meaning an internal comment from a Jira Service desk application (restricted to Agents) or are you using the default comment visibility by groups and roles?

Both internal comments from Service desk projects and restricted comments by groups/rules follow the same notification template under project settings > Notifications.

That being said, the first thing to do is to navigate to your project > Project Settings > Notifications and use the Notification helper to see if your user is properly set to receive the failed notification.

If the helper does not point out any problems, please provide us with the following information:

  1. Is the problem intermittent or you are able to test it again and reproduce the same?
  2. Is the problem reproducible by any users?
  3. If you are talking about an internal ticket from Service desk, check if the agents that should receive notifications are not added as a customer or as a request participant in the issue
  4. depending on what is your current scenario, check the steps in the links below to further troubleshoot the problem:
    Troubleshoot notifications in Jira
Troubleshoot email notifications in Jira Service Desk

Please, let us know the results you got from the steps above.
