Embedding lists of Jira artifacts (Statuses, Custom Fields, etc) onto Confluence pages?

Hi all,

So I am trying to enforce some Best Practices within my organization, mainly around the whole "let's not create a bunch of unnecessary Custom Fields/Statuses/etc and instead re-use the existing ones we already have" concept.

It would be nice if I could, say, have a page in Confluence that just listed all of the Custom Fields in our instance that I could point users to and say "are you SURE none of these will work and you really do need a brand new one"?

I could, of course, manually create a list but that wouldn't be very efficient, so looking for a way to do this more programmatically if possible..

Hi @Taylor Huston

What I would do, if I wanted reaaaally bad to do this, is:

  • Buy this app, which you can use a REST API request within your page
  • And JIRA's REST API to get all the info you want

Keep in mind that I didn't have tested the above theory. It should work though. See if the app is suitable for your needs first and of course if there is a rest api request to get all the info you want.
