Empty test sprint still shows up in dropdown.

I created a test sprint, started, and closed it. Now the Plan dropdowns show this test sprint. I followed all the instructions here:

But the sprint still shows up in the dropdowns. Any advice?

All historic sprints will be available in the dropdown so that you can review the report view of that sprint. I have not seen a way to remove a sprint in the way that URL shows. This though is for a sprint that has yet to be started. I have not seen a way, other than what you've pasted, to delete a completed sprint.

However, if you look at the comments below, you will see that there are other people unable to delete a sprint following those instructions.
