Encourage the selection of the correct sprint on Create Issue

We have consolidated to a single backlog, with more than one team, and using 2 active sprints for each group.

As you would expect there are times when the team select Create Issue, and it would be nice to pre-define the the correct Active sprint for each group.

Should I attempt to limit the sprint choices for each team on create item?

It is possible that work may be traded between teams and that team gets credit and therefore the sprint may be changed after creation.
